About Us

Our Story

Established in 1995–96 at Deoghar, Jharkhand, Young Action for Mass (YAM) India is a registered non-profit, rights-based voluntary organisation dedicated to the service of the disadvantaged sections of society.

YAM India has been working for the all-around development of the poor, the destitute, the aged, the differently-abled, vulnerable high-risk women, and children. The KAYA KALP Drug De-Addiction Centre in Dhanbad is one of its flagship programs, supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.

Vision

To be the best in service, welfare and Development for Children & Youth, Women, Differently-abled, Old Aged and Marginalized People in Jharkhand, using various technological developments to bring more clarity of work for making social development a speedy and important activity of society.

Mission

YAM India works for the empowerment of the disadvantaged, marginalized and vulnerable groups of the society in areas of economic, leadership, social, educational, psychological and health development.

Objectives

Conscientisation of the poor and disadvantaged through organisation, awareness generation, education and up-gradation of skills.

Delivery of preventive drug addiction and health services and curative medical services to the poor, the aged, handicapped, destitute, pregnant and lactating mothers and children.

Provision of relief, rehabilitation, counselling and support services to women and children in difficult circumstances, victims of social practices, family discord, and natural calamities.

Promotion of economic development programmes for the poor, involving asset creation and employment generation.

Promotion of self-help among poor women to increase thrift and savings as well as viable economic activities.

Creation of a congenial social climate for ecological balance, sustainable development, population control, human rights and social harmony.
